New Delhi Gulistan News Desk, 07 April  :  During Ram Navami celebrations in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, a group of individuals stirred controversy after climbing onto the dome of a prominent dargah and waving saffron flags, triggering outrage and viral reactions online.
The incident took place at the Dargah of Salar Masood Ghazi Miyan in the Sikandra area under Ganganagar zone. Videos circulated on social media show three individuals scaling the shrine’s dome while supporters gathered below, chanting slogans. The group reportedly fled the scene on motorcycles before police could intervene.
Mahendra Pratap Singh, who claims ties with the Karni Sena and has identified himself as a BJP worker and former student leader of Allahabad University, shared the video online. In his post, he labeled the dargah as a symbol of “invasion” and called for its demolition.
In response, police have registered a formal case against unidentified individuals involved in the act. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Ganganagar) Kuldeep Singh Gunawat confirmed that a probe is underway, and legal action will follow. Disciplinary proceedings have also been initiated against police personnel who failed to prevent the incident.
The DCP added that the dargah is a shared space visited by both Hindu and Muslim devotees, and any attempt to disturb communal harmony will be dealt with strictly under the law.
