A woman was killed in a road accident that happened in Jammu city yesterday evening.
As per report, the mishap took place at KC chowk in Jammu city when a speeding Matador (JK02AF5297) crushed to death a woman and the vehicle fled away from the scene of crime leaving the victim.
The matador used to ply from Janipur-Bahu Fort area in the Jammu city.
After the accident, the police rushed the woman to GMC Jammu where doctors declared her as brought dead.
The driver was identified as Ankush Kumar s/o Rakesh Kumar of Janipur.
The deceased woman was identified as Paramjeet Kaur (64) wife of Himmat Singh resident of Garhi, Udhampur.
A case FIR No. 4/2024 u/s 289, 304 of the IPC at Jammu bus stand police station and a probe was started.
