Road accident in J&K’s Udhampur, 27 passengers injured 5 critical

Udhampur police told, the bus was going from Ramnagar to Surni. All the injured have been admitted to the sub-district hospital, Ramnagar for treatment.

A painful road accident (Ramnagar Accident) has happened in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. Around 27 passengers were injured when a mini bus overturned here. This accident happened yesterday i.e. on Tuesday morning near Dak Bungalow in Ramnagar town. Udhampur Police said, “At least 27 passengers have been injured in this incident.” According to the police, the bus was going from Ramnagar to Surni when the accident happened.

Local people also reached the spot to help the passengers injured in the accident. Police said that all the injured have been admitted to the sub-district hospital Ramnagar.

5 of the injured are in critical condition

It is being told that this accident happened due to bad condition of the road and potholes at various places. The accident happened due to brake failure of the bus. Before the driver could stop the bus, it overturned after hitting the wall. After the incident, there was a hue and cry in the bus. The local people present there immediately informed the police, after which the police reached the spot. Police is investigating by registering a case. Out of all the 27 injured, the condition of 5 is said to be serious.
