The developer of League of Legends, may announce the launch of a mobile version of their game Valorant in mid-2023. However, some Redditors are worried about how the 5v5 competitive experience can be maintained on a mobile platform. To address these concerns, a Twitter leaker named ValorantMLeaks has stated that Tencent Games, the core developers of popular mobile games such as PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Pokemon UNITE, is developing the game. This suggests that the game is in experienced hands.
It is worth noting that ValorantMLeaks has gained a significant following among Valorant players for their accurate leaks of previous updates. The Twitter leaker has suggested that Riot and Tencent are collaborating on the development of the mobile version of Valorant. While Riot Games will publish the game, Tencent is the parent company of Riot.
The partnership between Riot and Tencent provides reassurance to fans due to Tencent’s experience and successful track record. However, instead of a direct port, Riot is developing a new game specifically optimized for mobile platforms like Android and iOS.
When will Valorant Mobile be released?.
Are you curious about when Valorant Mobile will launch? Riot initially announced Valorant Mobile back in 2021. After nearly 2 years, Riot has still not made any official announcement, though it is rumored that there have been some gameplay tests going on.
Last month, the executive producer of Valorant, Anna Donlon stated that the development of the mobile version has been challenging for them and it is taking time. Fans may have to wait for a couple of months more but Riot will not release a half-polished game.
Reportedly, CEO Global Esports, Rushinder Sinah said that they don’t expect the game 2023 but there can be an update that Riot will make in mid-2023.
It seems mobile players will have to wait a year or so for the open beta.
