Residents of two wards in Ramban village asked to evacuate after land sinking

60 houses damaged as land sinks in Ramban

The district administration has issued a warning to residents of two wards in Pernote village of Ramban to evacuate in view of land subsidence in the area.

Land subsidence in village Pernote has led to sinking in Nimnad and Telga wards, posing a risk to the residents, said an official of the district administration.

Tehsildar Ramban instructed by the Deputy Commissioner Ramban Baseer-Ul- Haq Chaudhary has asked the residents of Nimnad and Telga wards to evacuate to safety immediately, said the official.

Hundreds of residents of Pernote village have been shifted to safer places following the land subsidence, which has caused damage to scores of residential houses.
