On Friday, a new episode of moderately intense showers drenched various areas of Delhi, providing a much-needed relief from the muggy weather prevailing in the capital city.
As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the capital experienced a low temperature of 26.5 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature reached 35 degrees Celsius on the same day.
The IMD has predicted light showers in certain parts of the city for Saturday, accompanied by an expected maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius
The humidity levels fluctuated between 94% and 71% throughout the day, according to the IMD.
Delhi’s 24-hour average air quality index (AQI), which stands at 105, falls within the moderate range.
Earlier in the week, the Delhi residents faced discomfort due to the hot and humid weather.
The primary weather station in Delhi, the Safdarjung Observatory, noted a low temperature of 25.2 degrees Celsius on Thursday, with the mercury soaring to a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius.
