Ready to tackle any infiltration attempt during upcoming Parliamentary elections: IG BSF, Kashmir Frontier

Expressing his satisfaction over the preparedness along the borders, Inspector General Border Security Forces, Kashmir, Ashok Yadav on Friday said that they were ready to thwart any infiltration bid in view of upcoming Parliamentary elections.

Talking to media, Yadav, as per news a news agency, said, “We are ready to tackle any infiltration attempt as an ample number of companies are deployed along the hinterland.”

“The security grid has been strengthened more in view of upcoming (Parliamentary) elections,” the officer said, adding, “there always are chances of an increase in infiltration attempts during important events.”

“We have done vulnerability analysis in view of melting of snow, which relatively makes the infiltration easy,” Yadav said.

Regarding the deployment, Yadav said that sixty-five companies have arrived in Kashmir valley with the special purpose to give an extra layer of security in view of elections.
