Kupwara, April 28, 2025 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir President Shri Ravindra Raina today visited Village Kandi (Langate) in District Kupwara to express his profound grief and solidarity with the bereaved family of Jenab Ghulam Rasool Magray Sahib, who was brutally shot dead by terrorists during the darkness of night.

Shri Raina, accompanied by senior BJP leader Javid Qureshi, District President Kupwara Syed Rafiq Shah, and other party leaders, met the grieving family members and expressed heartfelt condolences. He interacted with the villagers and condemned the inhuman and cowardly act committed by terrorists.

During the visit, Shri Raina highlighted the deep pain of the tragedy, noting that the victim’s mother is blind and the family comes from a very poor background. “It is heartbreaking to see such innocent lives targeted by terrorists. Allah will never forgive those who commit such heinous crimes against humanity,” he said with strong emotion.

He assured the family that the Union Territory government and the Union Government will extend full support and assistance during this difficult time, ensuring that all necessary help reaches them promptly.

Speaking to the media, Shri Raina said, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir have suffered enough. The sacrifice of innocent citizens like Ghulam Rasool Magray Sahib will not go in vain. We will defeat the evil designs of terrorists and strengthen the spirit of peace and brotherhood.”

He further appealed to security agencies to intensify operations to root out terrorism and punish the culprits severely. Shri Raina also called upon all communities to unite against terrorism and stand firm in the face of such atrocities.

The brutal killing has evoked widespread condemnation across Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting the collective resolve of society to fight terrorism and uphold human dignity.
