Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has showered praise on Ravindra Jadeja, saying he has been unbelievable for India with both bat and ball. Jadeja picked up his second 10-wicket haul as India beat Australia by 6 wickets in the second Test to take a 2-0 lead in the four-match Border-Gavaskar series. Speaking exclusively to India Today, Harbhajan said the Indian all-rounders are smarter than the Australians, adding that Jadeja has been unbelievable for India with both bat and ball.
“I think the India all-rounders are smarter than the Aussie and far ahead when it comes to talent. Ravindra Jadeja is someone who can fit into any kind of 11, if you make a World XI, he would fit right in with the kind of form that he is in. With both bat and ball, he has been an unbelievable player for India,” said Harbhajan.
He went on to say that Ravichandran Ashwin has been a proven match-winner for India, insisting that Axar Patel’s contributions with the bat have been very special.
“Ashwin is a proven match-winner and has done well for India and scored those very important runs in Nagpur and now in Delhi. Credit to Axar Patel as well, scoring those runs was a very special innings. On such pitches, those fifties fell like centuries. Having these three guys bat down the order is a big plus for Team India,” Harbhajan added.
