RASC Jindrah honours best skaters of J&K

In a continued effort to recognize the best skaters of Jammu and Kashmir, the Roller Athlete Skating Club (RASC), Jindrah held a special awards ceremony at MA Stadium. The event celebrated skaters who excelled in 2023.

The ceremony was graced by Aabid Bhat, Raashid Ahmad Shunthoo, and Sunny Diman from M/S Origin Solutions. They served as the chief guests for the occasion.

During the event, two young talents received the Late Som Dutt Sharma Memorial Award. Izna Sharma, an upcoming roller hockey player, and Master Rajveer Singh Sarotria, a promising speed skater, were honored. Each received a cash prize of Rs 2,001, a trophy, and a certificate.

The Late Prof. Kuldeep Singh Jandrahia Memorial Award went to Tamanna Saini for her achievements in inline speed skating. She was awarded Rs 5,001, along with a trophy and a certificate.

The Late Asha Gupta Memorial Scholarship recognized two more outstanding skaters. Master Zayafat John for roller hockey and Kavya Sharma for speed skating. Each received Rs 2,001, a trophy, and a certificate.

Following the individual awards, the chief guests honored all roller hockey teams of the Jindrah club. The teams received full jerseys as a token of appreciation. The guests praised the club’s dedication to promoting roller skating at the grassroots level. They also commended the club’s success at national and international competitions.

The ceremony underscored RASC Jindrah’s commitment to fostering young talent in the region. By recognizing and rewarding excellence, the club continues to encourage young skaters to achieve their best.
