Adil Khan Durrani, a former spouse of actress Rakhi Sawant, was sighted by paparazzi in Mumbai on Sunda, Adil was seen engaging with some members of the media and stating how Rakhi and her associates had ‘framed’ him.
About what Adil said, he was observed in the city by reporters. When questioned about the accusations, Adil remarked, “I will share the complete story from my side. Rakhi framed me, and there were several others involved. I will disclose everything… I will hold a press conference soon… whether I have to pay crores or I will receive them.”
When asked if he plans to meet Rakhi again, he responded that unlike her, he won’t be providing conflicting statements to the media. He intends to present his version of events in a well-organized manner during the press conference.
Several months ago, Rakhi alleged that Adil was involved with another woman. A portion of her statement to the media read, “You often say why do I bring things to the media, keep personal matters at home. I don’t want to end up in a refrigerator by staying quiet at home.”
Subsequently, she accused him of various offenses including assault, theft of money and jewelry from her apartment without her knowledge, engaging in unnatural sexual acts, and demanding dowry. Adil was taken to the Oshiwara police station in suburban Mumbai for questioning and later arrested.
A police official disclosed that Rakhi got in touch with Adil in January 2022, and they opened a joint business account. Unbeknownst to her, he withdrew over ₹1.5 crore from the account in June to purchase a car, with the promise of marriage. Allegedly, he assaulted Rakhi twice, leading her to file a non-cognizable offense against him. The official also mentioned that Adil threatened to throw acid on her face or cause a fatal road accident.
Rakhi Sawant and Adil Khan Durrani tied the knot in July of the previous year.
