Rajouri admin gears up for Janjatiya Gaurav Divas

In preparation for the district-level celebrations of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas set on November 15 and a series of subsequent events in tribal-majority blocks and villages from November 15 to 25, District Development Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma on Friday convened a meeting with district officers in the Conference Hall of the DDC Office Complex.
The event aims to honor and celebrate tribal heritage through inclusive community engagement and development activities, with a focus on Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) initiatives.
The DDC emphasized the importance of inter-departmental collaboration, instructing each department to submit proposals for specific development needs in each of the district’s 307 villages. He directed officials to address these gaps with a comprehensive action plan, underscoring the event as a model of cooperative federalism and a ‘whole-of-government’ approach for public welfare through convergence and outreach.
Specific instructions were also issued for organizing the main event on November 15, ensuring arrangements reflect the significance of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas. Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, shall supervise the entire series of events and ensure their success across the district.
The meeting was attended by all district and sectoral officers, who were urged to work diligently towards making the event a memorable celebration of the region’s tribal heritage and achievements.
