The Meteorological Center Srinagar has issued a warning of heavy rain in some parts of the state on Friday whereas till April 3 it may rain in some parts.
Friday started with rain in Jammu city. The temperature has dropped due to cloud cover. Traffic is moving on Jammu-Srinagar. Although Mughal and SSG Road are closed.
Earlier on Thursday, the day temperature in Jammu had risen marginally above normal to reach 29.4 degrees Celsius amid light drizzle. In many other districts of the division including Jammu, heat was felt during the day. The weather in Kashmir remains pleasant.

Thursday started with thunder in Jammu. And after a brief rain at seven in the morning, the weather cleared up. There was a feeling of heat in the scorching sun in the afternoon.
Due to the clear weather till evening, the maximum temperature has reached near thirty degrees and the minimum temperature last night was recorded at 18.5°C. The day temperature in Banihal was 19.8°C, Batote 18.3°C, Katra 25.6°C and Bhaderwah 17.8 °C
In the capital Srinagar, the weather was cloudy in the evening after being clear till afternoon. In most of the districts of Kashmir, the day temperature is running 2 to 4 degrees above normal.
The world-famous tourist destination Pahalgam recorded a maximum temperature of 16.9 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg 8.4 degrees Celsius. Leh continued to be cold and recorded a minimum temperature of minus 3.0 degrees Celsius last night.
