Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday arrived in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh to meet the family of victims who died in the Hathras stampede tragedy. The Congress MP from Rae Bareli met one Chhote Lal, whose wife Manju and six-year-old son Pankaj died in the incident. Another family that Rahul Gandhi met was of stampede victims Premvati and Shanti Devi. He is also scheduled to visit Hathras to meet three other families of Hathras stampede later in the day.
Over 120 people died in the stampede that took place during a satsang of self-styled godman called ‘Bhole Baba’ in UP’s Hathras on Monday.
