Kill’, starring Raghav Juyal, Lakshya and Tanya Maniktala, saw a slight jump in its collection on Saturday. On its second day at the domestic box office, the gore thriller earned Rs 1.90 crore. According to industry tracking site Sacnilk, ‘Kill’ has grossed a total of Rs 3.15 crore in India. The film, produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, performed better in Mumbai and South Indian cities. On Saturday, the film had an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 19.9 per cent, with higher attendance during the night shows. Kill’ is facing tough competition at the domestic box office from Prabhas’ ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Now in its second week, the film continues to draw audiences to the theaters. In addition to Prabhas, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. Karan Johar and Guneet Monga-backed ‘Kill’ is an adult film with gore action. It had earlier premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival to rave reviews, with critics hailing it as ‘dazzling’, and one of them calling it a ‘near-perfect action thriller.’ In an earlier interview with Variety, Karan Johar spoke about the film’s genre and said, “It’s the most violent film made out of India.” Besides Raghav, Tanya and Lakshya, the film also stars Ashish Vidyarthi in a pivotal role.
