R-Day arrangements reviewed at Reasi

Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today chaired a meeting of district officers and officers of security agencies to review the preparedness for Republic Day-2023 celebrations.
It was given out that the main function of the Day shall be held at Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium Reasi. The meeting was informed that contingents of JKP, CRPF, NCC, students of various government schools will participate in the march past parade, while a cultural programme would also be the part of celebrations.
Deputy Commissioner directed the departments of Education, Jal Shakti, R&B, DYSSO, Information, Health, Sports, Traffic, Motor Vehicles, Police, Floriculture, PDD, Municipality and Paramilitary Forces to complete their respective assignments well before the National Event.
The DC impressed upon the departmental heads to put in place all the necessary arrangements for making the national function a grand success.
Threadbare discussions were held on seating arrangement, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water, power supply, sanitation, first-Aid, PAS and fire-tenders etc.
Security agencies were instructed to ensure fool-proof security arrangements at all venues across the district.
