Kupwara, Sep: 02 :- Qaiser Jamsheed Lone, a senior leader of the National Conference (NC) and candidate for the Lolab constituency, recently spoke at a party workers’ meeting in Sogam, Kupwara. Lone emphasized that the NC-Congress pre-poll alliance was designed to counter the influence of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and protect democratic values in Jammu and Kashmir.
He highlighted the strong competition between the NC-Congress coalition and the BJP, urging voters to support the alliance to prevent what he described as further undemocratic actions. Lone also expressed support for Jamaat-e-Islami’s decision to participate in the assembly elections, calling it a positive move for democratic strengthening and advocating for the lifting of the ban on the organization.
Lone reassured his commitment to staying connected with the people and addressing their issues. He expressed optimism about the coalition’s prospects in the upcoming assembly polls and urged voters to elect him so he can effectively represent their concerns.
