Bilal Ahmed Kuchay, son of Gh Nabi Kuchay from Hajbal Kakapora, passed away due to a cardiac arrest at GMC Jammu on Monday night, according to official sources. Kuchay had been accused of involvement in the 2019 Pulwama attack, which resulted in the deaths of at least 40 CRPF personnel.
Sources confirmed that Kuchay, who had been imprisoned in District Jail Kishtwar since July 5, 2020, was transferred to GMC Jammu for medical treatment on September 17, 2024. He died while receiving care at the hospital.
