DC calls for close monitoring of work quality
District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal, conducted a comprehensive review of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) projects in the district at a meeting held here today. The meeting focused on assessing the physical and financial progress of the road and bridge constructions aimed at enhancing connectivity in the region.
The DDC emphasized the importance of prioritizing road projects that serve over a thousand habitants, followed by those serving Five hundred and then two hundred fifty plus habitants. Key projects discussed included the construction of bridges on routes such as Chandimarh to Dugria, Saila-Marha, as well as the Mandi Fagla road and various other roads and bridges in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) to rigorously monitor the quality of work and directed the Executive Engineer (Xen) to conduct thorough inspections of ongoing bridge constructions. He underscored the necessity of ensuring timely completion of these projects to facilitate improved connectivity for the local populace.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner called for regular monitoring of project progress by the respective officers to guarantee that the benefits of these essential infrastructure developments reach the community without delay.
