Principal Secretary Forest, Ecology and Environment, Dheeraj Gupta, today visited Ichgam Panchayat of Budgam block as Prabhari Officer.
Deputy Commissioner Budgam, S F Hamid, Additional District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Akhramullah Tak, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, ACD, ACP, Executive Engineers of various departments, Block Development Officer and other district officers were present on the occasion.
Principal Secretary had a detailed review of development programmes being executed in the panchayat. He took stock of grievances and demands of people of the area besides seeking follow up on several deliverables of fourth phase of ‘Back to Village’ programme.
Dheeraj Gupta also had threadbare discussion on saturation of all deliverables under “Swachh Gram Programme, Jan Bhagidari, Land Passbooks, Golden Cards, completion of pending inheritance mutations, distribution of e-Shram cards, 100% Aadhar Seeding/ Penetration, rejuvenating self-employment across the Panchayats by facilitating interaction of eligible youth with concerned agencies/marketing awareness programmes, Jal Jeevan Mission, Panchayat Paani Samitis, formation/activation of Panchayat Youth Clubs and Mission Amrit Sarovar.
Principal Secretary laid special focus on saturation of basic deliverables like Electricity, Tap Water Connections, Education, Roads, Health, Self Employment and others.
He said that lack of responsiveness and non cooperation by the representatives of line departments shall be taken seriously. He asked Deputy Commissioner to review the responses from all Back to Village programmes with special reference to demands and complaints. He also asked him to prepare a report regarding redressal of all demands and complaints.
Principal Secretary directed the officers for 100 per cent cleanliness of panchayats besides ensuring that JJM fulfils “Har Ghar Jal “purpose in every village. He also emphasized cent percent metering in all the non- metered areas.
“Attaining saturation of all deliverables is basic motive of the government and public participation is prerequisite to achieve this goal”, maintained the Principal Secretary.
