Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Dras in Ladakh on Friday to pay tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War on the 25th anniversary of Vijay Diwas. At the Kargil War Memorial, PM Modi laid a wreath to honor the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives 25 years ago, securing a historic victory over Pakistan. The Prime Minister also performed a ‘parikrama’ of the memorial.
Earlier on Thursday, PM Modi posted on X, calling July 26 a “very special day for every Indian” and announcing his visit to the Kargil War Memorial to pay tribute to the bravehearts.
