According to government sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to embark on a busy tour of Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh on July 7-8. The Hindustan Times reported that he will participate in approximately twelve events across five cities, namely Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Raipur, Warangal, and Bikaner. During his tour, the prime minister will unveil, dedicate, and lay the foundation stones for nearly 50 projects worth approximately ₹50,000 crore.
The prime minister’s tour will commence in Raipur on July 7, where he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple projects. These include various six-lane sections of the Raipur-Visakhapatnam corridor. A public meeting will follow these activities.
After Raipur, PM Modi will proceed to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, where he will attend an event at Gita Press, a well-known publisher of religious books. Additionally, he will flag off three Vande Bharat trains and lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Gorakhpur railway station.
Subsequently, the prime minister will visit his Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi. Here, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several significant projects. This includes dedicating the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction to Son Nagar new line of the Dedicated Freight Corridor, as well as the four-lane widening of NH-56 (Varanasi – Jaunpur). PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the renovation of Manikarnika Ghat and Harishchandra Ghat.
On July 8, PM Modi will travel from Varanasi to Warangal in Telangana. He will lay the foundation stone for various projects, including key sections of the Nagpur-Vijayawada Corridor and the four-lane expansion of the Karimnagar-Warangal section of NH-563. A public meeting will be held in Warangal as well.
From Warangal, the prime minister will proceed to Bikaner, where he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple projects. These include various sections of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway and the Inter-State Transmission Line for Green Energy Corridor Phase-I. PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Bikaner railway station and participate in a public meeting in Bikaner.
