Prime Gaming's August Offer: 8 Free Games Including Payday 2 and Star Wars Sequel!

Amazon Prime Gaming has unveiled the list of eight free games available for subscribers to download and play in August. In previous months, they offered games like Prey, Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition, and Shovel Knight: Showdown for free.

Sometimes, Prime Gaming offers a game just before its sequel is released, allowing fans to catch up on the story or relive their favorite moments. For instance, Baldur’s Gate 2 was free in July, and Baldur’s Gate 3 is set to launch on PC on August 3.

In August, Prime Gaming continues this trend with Payday 2 and its Gage Mod Courier DLC, which will be free before Payday 3’s release on September 21. Another sequel available this month is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, following the first game that was free in July.

The other free games in August include Farming Simulator 19, Foretales, Blade Assault, In Sound Mind, Driftland: The Magic Revival, and Summertime Madness.

Subscribers also get access to free content for other popular games such as Overwatch 2, Dead by Daylight, Call of Duty: Warzone, Black Desert Online, Fall Guys, Pokemon Go, Warframe, and Shadow Fight 3, which offers extra bonuses and rewards.

With the success of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws, Star Wars games are experiencing a resurgence, leading some fans to hope for a new installment in the Force Unleashed series.

Amazon Games is still establishing itself as a major game publisher, with some canceled projects like Crucible and a Lord of the Rings MMO. However, its Prime Gaming division consistently offers enticing free games every month. Additionally, Amazon Games has promising titles in development, including Blue Protocol, a Tomb Raider game, and another Lord of the Rings MMORPG, making it a publisher to watch for in the future.
