A pregnant woman died after a tanker struck her in Rehari area of Jammu city on Monday. The deceased was seven months pregnant and was seated behind her husband on his bike at the time of the accident.
The accident victim aged between (20-21) was heading to her home from Bahu Fort through Amphalla on a bike with her husband and was hit by the tanker at Bus stand and passed away on the spot.
The relatives of the deceased alleged that no onlookers helped their daughter, when she fell on the road otherwise there she could have been saved.
The tanker operator ran away from the scene unattending the deceased on the road.
A case has been registered at Rehari police station and a probe is on.
