PoliticsKavinder lambasts Mehbooba, Omar for taking stand against Indian Govt

JAMMU.AUG 25 : Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Sunday lambasted PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and NC Vice President Omar Abdullah for persistently taking stands which are contrary to the policies of Indian Government and also the interests of India.

Addressing a gathering after listening to PM Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat Programme, the BJP stalwart leader said that Mehbooba Mufti is misleading people in J&K by giving assurances which are unachievable.

Citing her statement that her party will fight to recognize the MBBS degrees of students who have attained these from other countries but the same are not recognized by the government, Kavinder said, it is unfortunate that few political leaders have the habit of taking stand contrary to the government of India, and creating mayhem in the society. He said that if the government has taken a decision not to recognize MBBS degrees attained from Pakistani soil, there should have been certain logical reasons and challenging the same for petty political mileage is nothing but sheer opportunism, which the people understand well and shall not fall prey into such gimmicks.

Kavinder also criticized Omar Abdullah over his remark welcoming the JEI leadership to participate in polls as independents because of the ban imposed on their organization. He said that despite knowing well the reasons behind the ban on JEI, the NC leader is encouraging the controversial leadership of that organization only to create chaos in the peaceful democratic process being scheduled in J&K to elect the genuine people to run the government. He said that the man who despite enjoying a stature in one of the main political parties of J&K has himself refused to take part in the democratic process of polls, is supporting the people of ‘dubious mindset’ to be in fray in polls shows the duplicity and hypocrisy of that individual (Omar) and his party.
