Continuing its effort to curb the illegal sale of liquor in the district, Police Station Khaltse today arrested one bootleggers and recovered the illegal liquor from his possession.
On 16.01.2023 Police Station Khaltse received an information regarding illegal sale of liquor at village Saspol from a general store shop, on this a police party of Police Station Khalsi rushed to the spot, conducted raid and recovered 18 bottle of beer, 08 bottle of Rum from his possession and arrested the accused person namely Sonam Stanzin S/O Sonam Tsultim R/O Saspol.
In this connection case FIR No 02/2023 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Khaltse and investigation started.
It is pertinent to mention here that district Police Leh urge the general public to come forward with any information regarding any case of narcotic smuggling , drug peddling or bootlegging/illegal liquor selling so that the precious lives of the people are saved from this menace.
