Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police arrested one peddler and recovered narcotics in Langate area.
On May 17, 2023, a police party of Police Post Langate, while on naka duty at Bunpora Langate on Baramulla-Handwara highway, apprehended one person who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner.
On search, around 80 grams of *Charas* like substance was recovered from his possession. The person has been identified as *Shabir Ahmad Mir S/o Mohammad Subhan R/o Bunpora Langate*.
In relation to this, *FIR No.112/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act* registered in PS Handwara and investigation initiated.
