A gang of six women pickpockets who targeted a couple in a Matador and stole Rs 15,000 from them in Nagrota area of Jammu has been arrested on Thursday by police.
According to the report, the theft took place when six women pickpockets burgled Rs 15000 from a couple who were travelling in a Matador going towards Jammu city from Nagrota.
However, the alert locals caught the women burglars at Nagrota bypass road who were fleeing in an electric autorickshaw after stealing the money.
During search of the accused women the police recovered Rs 15000 from their possession and sent them to police station.
A case under relevant sections of the IPC has been filed at Nagrota police station.
