The Hiranagar police on Sunday foiled a bovine peddling in Kathua district and freed cattle from the smugglers.
The alter cops intercepted a truck bearing registration number no. ‘JK08E3535’ in Hiranagar and when they searched the vehicle they recovered bovines hidden behind a wall of potato sacks. They freed several cattle and sent them to a nearby cowshed.
A case is registered against the accused cattle trafficker at Hiranagar police station.
