Police busts online gambling racket in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu police on Saturday busted a gambling racket being operated in Rajiv Nagar area of Jammu.
As per report, acting on a tip the Narwal police station Incharge, SI Lalit Sharma with his team of cops carried out a raid in Rajiv Nagar area of Jammu city busted an online gambling racket and nabbed two gamblers and recovered approximately Rs 14,250 stake money from them.
The organisers of the gambling racket was identified Sanjeev Kumar alias Sunny s/o Rameshwar Kumar and Sanjay Kumar alias Majju s/o Rameshwar Kumar both residents of Rajeev Nagar.
The accused used to lure local people to bet their money in gambling from a long time.
A case has been booked against the accused U/S 13 of the Gaming Act at Narwal police station and a probe has been taken up.
