Police arrests two drug peddlers in Baramulla, contraband substances recovered

In its ongoing efforts to eliminate the scourge of drugs from society, the police have apprehended two drug peddlers in Baramulla and seized contraband substances from their possession.

 

A spokesperson said that a police party of Police Station Chandoosa headed by SHO PS Chandoosa at a checkpoint established at Galibal Chandoosa, intercepted two persons. During search, 36 grams of contraband Charas like substances was recovered from their possession. They were later identified as Abdul Qayoom Lone son of Ab Rehman resident of Shirpora & Mudasir Ahmad Dar son of Ab Rashid resident of Heewan Sheeri. They have been arrested and shifted to PS Chandoosa were they remained in custody.

“Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Chandoosa and investigations have been initiated”, he said.
