Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A Police party of Police Post Mirgund headed by IC PP Mirgund at a checkpoint established at Mirgund Pattan, intercepted one vehicle truck bearing registration number JK02BT-8863 in which two persons were boarded who were identified as Mohinder Singh son of Ram Saran & Mohinder Kumar son of Charan Das both residents of Satwari Jammu. During search 5.97 kgs of Contraband Poppy Straw like substances was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and have been shifted to Police Station. The vehicle used for commission of crime has also been seized from the spot.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation has been initiated.
