Jammu Police on Thursday apprehended three persons for possessing heroin (Chitta) from RS Pura district of Jammu.
As per report, the incident came to fore when a police team of RS Pura district was performing patrolling duty then they intercepted a man on suspicion and during checking of the person they recovered Heroin from his possession.
When the police questioned the accused from where he got the drugs, he confessed to the police that he has bought Heroin (Chitta) from a married couple in Suchetgarh. Acting on this input, the police arrested the husband-wife duo from Suchetgarh Tehsil of Jammu’s RS Pura district and recovered 92 gram from their possession.
The arrested husband and wife has been identified as Ankush Kumar s/o Badu Ram and Preeti Devi w/o Ankush Kumar both residents of Khanna Chak Tehsil RS Pura of Jammu, Ashwini Kumar alias Kali s/o Mohinder Lal r/o Rangpur Sidhrey, Tehsil Suchetgarh, RS Pura of Jammu.
A case FIR NO. 05/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at RS Pura police station and probe is on.
