The Special Protection Group (SPG) has officially announced the postponement of the Prime Minister’s scheduled visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Initially slated for April 19, 2025, the visit has been delayed, as per an official communication from the SPG’s Criminare division in New Delhi.

The SPG, in a classified message addressed to key officials in Jammu and Kashmir, including the Chief Secretary, DGP, and other senior security personnel, confirmed the development. The communication also noted references to previous messages dated April 13 and 14, regarding the Prime Minister’s itinerary.

Authorities in the Union Territory have been informed to take necessary follow-up actions in light of the postponement. No further details have been provided regarding the revised schedule for the Prime Minister’s visit.
