Vande Bharat trains: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday visit uttar pradesh’s Gorakhpur and his parlimentary constituency varanasi, where he will launch various development projects worth around Rs 12,000 crore and flag off two trains of Vande Bharat Express.
During his whirlwind tour to the two eastern Uttar Pradesh districts, he will also address a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Wajidpur. District BJP sources told news agency PTI that PM Modi is expected to hold ‘tiffin par charcha’ with the party workers after the rally.
PM Modi will first arrive in Gorakhpur, which is also Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s home turf. The Prime Minister will attend the closing ceremony of the Gita Press centenary celebrations. Recently, Gita Press was conferred with the Gandhi Peace Prize for 2021 by a jury headed by PM Modi.
Vande Bharat trains: According to Gita Press manager Lalmani Tripathi, during the closing ceremony, PM Modi will visit Lila Chitra temple and will also have a photo session with the trustees of the religious books’ publisher. He will also address a gathering there, Tripathi said.
The opening ceremony of the centenary year celebrations was graced by the then President Ramnath Kovind.
According to Chief Public Relations Officer (North Eastern Railway) Pankaj Kumar Singh, PM Modi will flag off the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express from platform number 1 at Gorakhpur railway station. He will also flag off the Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express through video conferencing.
