The President of India appointed Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India for the third time.
As advised by the Prime Minister, the President appointed the members of the Council of Ministers.
In a significant reshuffle, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has inducted new ministers, with the President administering the Oaths of Office and Secrecy at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The ceremony marked a pivotal moment in Modi’s administration, bringing fresh faces and experienced leaders into key positions.
Among the prominent appointees are Raj Nath Singh, Amit Shah, and Nitin Jairam Gadkari, who continue to hold influential roles. Jagat Prakash Nadda, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Nirmala Sitharaman have also been retained, indicating stability and continuity in core ministries.
Subrahmanyam Jaishankar remains a crucial figure in foreign affairs, while Manohar Lal takes on vital responsibilities at the state level. H D Kumaraswamy joins the council, adding regional representation. Piyush Goyal and Dharmendra Pradhan retain their positions, ensuring experienced leadership in economic and energy sectors.
New faces include Jitan Ram Manjhi, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, and Sarbananda Sonowal. They bring diverse backgrounds and fresh perspectives. Virendra Kumar, Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, and Pralhad Joshi are also part of the new council, tasked with significant portfolios.
Giriraj Singh, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Bhupender Yadav, and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat continue their tenure. Annpurna Devi, Kiren Rijiju, and Hardeep Singh Puri hold strategic positions, crucial for policy execution.
Ministers of State with Independent Charge, such as Rao Inderjit Singh, Jitendra Singh, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Jadhav Prataprao Ganpatrao, and Jayant Chaudhary, bring their expertise to specialized areas.
In the ranks of Ministers of State, Jitin Prasada, Shripad Yesso Naik, Pankaj Chaudhary, Krishan Pal, and Ramdas Athawale are notable. Their roles are vital for supporting senior ministers.
This reshuffle aims to address pressing national challenges, enhance governance, and drive forward the Modi administration’s agenda. The inclusion of both seasoned politicians and new entrants reflects a strategic balance.
