PM Modi: Speaking at the huge gathering that marked the last leg of his US state visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday underlined that now is the best time for Indians in the US to invest in India.
“The world has its eyes on India because of you all. And now is the best time to invest as much as possible in India,” the Prime Minister said, while addressing the Indian diaspora at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington DC on Friday.
“The research centre for Google’s AI in India will work on more than 100 languages. With the help of the Indian Govt, a Tamil Studies chair will be established here at the University of Houston,” the PM said, laying down the opportunity for American Indians to engage in such initiatives taking roots in India.
“All these announcements will help to create employment in India. The Artemis Accord signed between India and the US will provide several opportunities in space research. With NASA, India will send astronauts to space. That is why I said ‘Sky is not the limit’,” PM Modi said in his address.
The Prime Minister took his Make in India initiative a notch higher as he promoted it to “Make for the world” initiative. “In last 3 days, a new and glorious journey between India and US relations has begun. This new journey is of our convergence on global strategic issues, of our cooperation for Make in India, Make for the World,” PM Modi said.
