PDP Leader Rafique Rather receives warm reception at party office Baramulla on assuming charge as District President.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader Mohd Rafique Rather was warmly welcomed at the party District Office Baramulla today as he officially assumed charge of the District President.

On the occasion, scores of party leadeds and workers from all seven constituencies of the district gathered to extend their support and celebrate the appointment of their new District President. On the occasion loud slogans in favor of the party and Rafique Rather were raised and the decision of the Party high command was hailed calling it a transformative step for the party in Baramulla. The workers, and other leaders committed to unite and work together for the welfare of the people.

Addressing the gathering, Rafique Rather expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders and workers for their heartfelt welcome. He thanked the party leadership in particular to Party President Ms.Mehbooba Mufti for entrusting him with this important responsibility and assured that the dignity and honor of the leaders and workers of the party would always be upheld under his leadership.

Rather emphasized the challenges faced by the people despite having an elected government, pointing out that the present govt has miserably failed to deliver on its poll promises. He urged the workers to strengthen their connection with the public and ensure that their concerns are addressed.

“Our leadership will play a significant role as the opposition and will continue to raise the issues faced by the people, ensuring their voices are heard,” he stated.

He further urged the workers to build the party’s presence at the grassroots level by reaching to the common masses and play a crucial role in addressing public challenges. Rafique Rather also highlighted the historical significance of Baramulla and assured that the district’s importance would never be overlooked under his leadership. “We will stand firm to ensure Baramulla receives the attention and development it rightfully deserves,” he added.
