Jammu and Kashmir’s Peoples Democratic Party Supremo, Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday (May 8) told reporters in Srinagar that her party drove people out of gun culture and that’s why it has made space in hearts of people.

Addressing a group of mediapersons in Srinagar, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said, “Post 2019, the situation of Jammu and Kashmir is very bad. The new orders that come from Delhi has changed our laws, state subject, domicile, land. After reading down of Article-370 not everything stopped here. Since 2019, countless efforts are being made to snatch rights of J&K people, to make people landless. We get electricity produced by at high cost and in the entire country it is being given at cheaper rates. That is why these elections are very crucial so that the people of Jammu and Kashmir can give a message to the New Delhi  that what you have done in 2019 wrongfully and illegally, is not acceptable by the masses of Jammu and Kashmir”.

“Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) party resides in the hearts of people. It is possible that for sometime people might have got upset with the PDP. Peoples Democratic Party is such political party which in very less time did much more as comparable to 50 years of other govts rule. Construction of Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot road,  Universities, RET teachers, Task Force, Quota, end of Ikhwans, initiation of dialogue by Mufti Sahab. PDP drove people out of gun culture which resides in the hearts of people. It is not easy to destroy PDP.  My fight is not with Omar Abdullah. I want people of J&K to understand the present situation and I want people to vote to power such a political party, which can express without any fear the issues of locals in Delhi”, she emphasised.
