National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the party has never implemented Pakistan’s agenda.
Abdullah’s remarks came a day after Prime Minister Modi said the NC, PDP and Congress were implementing the neighbouring country’s agenda in Jammu and Kashmir. “We have never implemented Pakistan’s agenda. It is unfortunate that those who accuse us are implementing Pakistan’s agenda. What can we do about them,” the NC president told reporters after offering Friday prayers at Hazratbal.
Pointing to Baramulla Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid, Abdullah said those who accuse the NC of implementing Pakistan’s agenda are standing with those who get money from Pakistan. “They themselves are agents of Pakistan. Show us even one leader who was with Pakistan and is now standing with us,” he said. On being asked about the use of beef and fish oil in making laddus at Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh, Abdullah said that he cannot say anything on this issue, but if there is something like this then it should be investigated and action should be taken.
