New journey to make democracy more prosperous: Speaker Om Birla on shifting to new Parliament
Commenting on the shifting on Parliamentary procedures to new building, Lo Sabha Speaker Om Birla said this session marks the beginning of a new “journey to make democracy more prosperous”.
“The 13th session of the Lok Sabha starting today is important. In this session, we will take inspiration from the glorious democratic history and start a new journey to make democracy more prosperous with new energy and confidence in the new Parliament House. The participation of 140 crore countrymen will make it more special,” he said.
The speaked further added,”We hope that like always we will get the support of honourable members. By actively participating in the proceedings of the House, they will show a new direction to the countrymen through high quality discussions and dialogues on issues of public interest. They will inspire everyone to collectively make the best contribution in building a developed India in the era of immortality.”
