Parineeti Chopra has arrived in Delhi to reportedly kick off her wedding celebrations with her fiancé Raghav Chadha. The Aam Aadmi Party leader personally greeted her at the Delhi airport, and they were even seen donning matching blue shirts. On Sunday, they are scheduled to take part in an ardaas function in Delhi, marking the beginning of their week-long pre-wedding festivities leading up to their wedding in Udaipur on September 24.
On Sunday noon, Parineeti was spotted at the Mumbai airport, getting ready to catch her flight bound for Delhi. She sported a black cap with the letter ‘R’ embroidered on it. Later in the day, she was captured at the Delhi airport, with Raghav Chadha accompanying her.
Regarding the wedding plans, “The wedding festivities are set to commence in Delhi on September 17 with ardaas and shabad kirtan, followed by some intimate gatherings for close family members. Subsequently, the entire family, along with the bride and groom, will head to Udaipur for the grand wedding.”
Recently, the wedding card for Parineeti and Raghav also became public. As per the card, the couple is slated to have a ‘Pearl White Indian Wedding’ during the daytime at The Leela Palace in Udaipur on September 24. This will be followed by a reception at The Leela Palace’s Courtyard, with the theme being “A Night of Amore”. A day prior, there will be a welcome lunch and a ’90s Edition’ party at The Leela Palace.
Regarding their engagement, Parineeti and Raghav became engaged a few months ago. Parineeti’s cousin and actor Priyanka Chopra had made a brief visit to India to attend the event and perform the customary rituals as an elder sister. She is expected to be a part of the wedding celebrations. The engagement also saw the presence of several politicians, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who are anticipated to attend the wedding reception in Delhi.
