Pariksha pe Charcha 2024 begins

The 7th Edition of Pariksha pe Charcha scheduled for today has begun at the Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The Prime Minister earlier tweeted, “I am eagerly looking forward to the most memorable gathering of ExamWarriors, ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, to collectively strategize on ways to beat exam stress.”

Parkisha Pe Charcha programme was set to begin at 11AM. This program can be watched online by students on different government websites and will be streamed on various YouTube channels such as PM Modi’s official handle, Education Ministry, Doordarshan Live, PIB.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is meeting with nearly 3,000 students ahead of the exams and will  give them valuable advice on how to cope with the pressure of the upcoming board exams. According to reports, for today’s programme, nearly 2.2 crore registrations have been recorded on the MyGov portal for Parkisha Pe Charcha.

This year, media reports suggest over 205 lakh students, more than 15 lakh teachers and 5.7 lakh parents have registered for PPC 2024. In the Pariksha pe Charcha 2023 programme, 31 lakh students, 5.7 lakh teachers, and 2 lakh parents had participated.

The initial editions of PPC were held in New Delhi in a town-hall format with interactive discussions. During the Covid pandemic, the fourth edition moved to an online format, with a programme broadcast on Doordarshan and major TV channels. The fifth and sixth editions of Pariksha Pe Charcha returned to the town-hall format, with events held at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi.
