Pankaj Tripathi on A certificate: Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar both appear in Oh My God 2. Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Lord Shiva in the movie is one of the main controversy surrounding it. The censor board recently verified that “OMG 2” has been given a “A – Adults Only” certificate. Pankaj Tripathi has now expressed his disappointment over the film getting the ‘A’. The actor said that the film is meant for the age group of 12 – 17 years.

‘OMG 2’ actor Pankaj Tripathi expressed his amazement at the movie receiving a ‘A’ certificate at an event for the movie. The actor remarked, “We were surprised when we received an A certificate. This is so that we can make films knowing that they will or won’t earn an A certificate, like Gangs Of Wasseypur. We anticipated that it would receive an Adults Only certificate while we were creating it. However, we had no idea that OMG 2 would receive such a high rating when we were creating it. This movie, directed by A. Milna, surprised everyone. (For me, it was a surprise.) Thoda malaal hua ki jis age-group ko yeh film dekhni chaiye, 12-17 saal ke, woh nahi dekh payenge. The target audience of 12 to 17 years old won’t be able to view the movie, which left me a little dissatisfied.

“I believe we should have something between U/A and A category,” he continued. Similar to how Censor introduced the Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill. They should also bring certain modifications to censor certification. The phrase “It’s sad that the very people for whom we made the film, won’t be able to watch it” can be translated as “Afsoos yehi hai ki jinko dekhni chaiye film, woh nahi dekh payenge.”
