Over 650 Amarnath pilgrims, who were stranded on Jammu-Srinagar national highway due to inclement weather, were provided assistance by the administration and security forces.
An official told the news that civil administration and security forces including Army’s 2 sector provided emergency relief and aid to 676 Yatris including women and children who were stranded near Wuzur area of Qazigund on the highway. .
Meanwhile, pilgrims expressed gratitude to Army and civil administration for providing them aid
“We are happy with the arrangements made by the security forces and civil administration,” said a pilgrim.
Amarnath Yatra continues to remain suspended for the third consecutive day on Sunday due to bad weather conditions.
