The forthcoming movie “OMG 2,” starring actors Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam, has received censorship approval for viewing by audiences aged 12 and above in the UAE and Oman, with no edits.
This sequel to Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal’s 2012 film “OMG – Oh My God” aims to raise awareness about the importance of sex education among adolescents through a compelling narrative centered around a middle-class family.
Ajit Andhare, COO of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, has confirmed this development, stating, “We are delighted to share that the censor authorities in Oman have granted our film ‘OMG 2’ a 12+ rating without any cuts. The film has also been approved for exhibition by the censor authority in the UAE, while Quebec, Canada has granted it a General rating without any edits.”
It’s worth noting that the Indian censor board has cleared the film, scheduled for a theatrical release on August 11, with an ‘adults only’ certification.
