Continuing its waragainstdrugabuse District Police Udhampur arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered 08 grams of heroin (chitta) like contraband substance from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehambal.
Police team from Police Station Rehambal led by SHO PS Rehambal while performing vehicle checking duty apprehended one person from Phalata Naka Point who turned to be suspicious as he tried to move fast after seeing police party for checking purpose.
On his frisking, 08 grams of heroin (chitta) like Contraband substance was recovered from the possession of the apprehended person namely Latief Ahmed S/O Abdul Aziz R/O Sheikhpora, Budgam who has been arrested on spot.
On this, a case vide FIR No. 234/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Rehambal and further investigation was set into probe.
