No separatists or troublemakers will disrupt Jammu and Kashmir’s peace and Harmony: LG Manoj Sinha

Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed a public gathering on Awards Ceremony at Satyam Resorts, where he reiterated the government’s commitment to honoring the legacy of the iconic ruler of Jammu and Kashmir. At the event, the prestigious Maharaja Hari Singh Peace and Harmony Awards were also presented to deserving recipients for their contributions to the welfare of the region.

Speaking at the event, LG Manoj Sinha highlighted the government’s decision to declare a public holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth anniversary as a mark of respect for his contributions. “By declaring a holiday on this day, the government has given due honor to Maharaja Hari Singh’s legacy,” he said.

The Lieutenant Governor emphasized the importance of Maharaja Hari Singh in Jammu and Kashmir’s history, stating, “Maharaja Hari Singh made Jammu and Kashmir an integral part of India, yet he was not given the proper place he deserved in history. Today, we are working to ensure his contributions are recognized and celebrated.”

LG Sinha also remembered the contributions of other key figures in Jammu and Kashmir’s history. “The contribution of Pandit Premnath Dogra will always be remembered for his role in shaping the region. Similarly, Devendra Singh Rana’s contributions have left an indelible mark on Jammu and Kashmir,” he noted.

In his address, the Lieutenant Governor gave a strong message promoting peace, unity, and mutual brotherhood in the region. “We will never allow separatists and mischievous elements to dominate the peace and harmony of Jammu and Kashmir,” he affirmed, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining social harmony.

He called upon citizens to actively contribute to the social and cultural development of the region. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir must play their part in fostering mutual respect and cultural progress, ensuring a bright future for the region,” he said.

Highlighting India’s growing global economic stature, LG Sinha spoke about the nation’s progress. “Today, India’s GDP contribution to the world has reached 15%. If this momentum continues, the dream of making India a global leader by 2047 will certainly be fulfilled,” he remarked, expressing optimism about the country’s developmental trajectory.

The event also saw the presentation of the Maharaja Hari Singh Peace and Harmony Awards to individuals who have contributed significantly to the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir. The awards symbolize the region’s commitment to celebrating harmony, preserving its cultural heritage, and honoring those who work tirelessly to uphold these values.

LG Manoj Sinha’s address reinforced the administration’s focus on fostering unity and ensuring the legacy of Maharaja Hari Singh is preserved.
