Visits Hyderpora to offer condolence with Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Hasnain Masoodi

Srinagar, Mar 01 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stated on Saturday that a shadow cabinet is unnecessary since the elected government in Jammu and Kashmir will deliver on its commitments to the people.

After meeting with Mirwaiz and Hasnain Masoodi to express condolences, Omar told reporters that the departments have been instructed to provide improved services to the public during Ramadan. He stated that the government is working to guarantee sufficient electricity and water supply, particularly during Sehri and Iftari.

When questioned about the “shadow cabinet” established by the BJP, he stated that there is no provision for such a cabinet in the country. “We possess just a single cabinet.” A shadow cabinet is unnecessary. The BJP has governed before, and now it is the moment for an elected administration to benefit the citizens. “We will strive to keep all the commitments made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he stated.

Omar Abdullah went to the home of Dr. Ghulam Sibtain Masoodi in Hyderpora, who passed away this week. Dr. Sibtain was the sibling of NC leader Hasnain Masoodi and the father-in-law of Mirwaiz Molvi Omar Farooq.
