Ahead of ‘Republic Day’ the J&K administration yesterday evening imposed night curfew from 9pm to 6am in areas up to 1km from the International Border in Samba district of J&K.

According to an order issued by the Samba District Administration, the BSF authorities, during a meeting of the district-level standing committee on border security, took up the issue of imposition of night curfew in the border area enabling them to perform their duties more effectively.

The night curfew have been imposed by the security forces to thwart infiltration attempts of terrorists from the Pakistani side to this side of the Indian border in Samba.

Due to fog like conditions in Jammu, there are chances of infiltration of terrorists to this side of the Indian territory.
